The GG’s and the Giller’s, 2015

Canada’s Giller Prize English literary shortlist has been announced:

Andre Alexis for Fifteen Dogs;
Heather O’Neill for the story collection Daydreams of Angels;
Anakana Schofield for Martin John;
Samuel Archibald for the story collection Arvida (translated by Donald Winkler);
and Rachel Cusk for Outline.

Here are the books shortlisted for this year’s Governor General’s awards for English-language literature:
Kate Cayley for How You Were Born;
Rachel Cusk for Outline;
Helen Humphreys for  The Evening Chorus;
Clifford Jackman for The Winter Family;
and Guy Vanderhaeghe for Daddy Lenin and Other Stories.

And the French-language list:

Françoise de Luca Sèna for Marchand de feuilles ;
Nicolas Dickner for Six degrés de liberté ;
Marilyne Fortin for La Fabrica ;
Catherine Harton for Traité des peaux ;
Dominique Scali for À la recherche de New Babylon.
