Remembering Anne Frank

Anne Frank died 70 years ago, although we don’t know exactly when. At the age of 13, Anne and her family went into hiding in Amsterdam.

She survived for two years in an attic, until betrayed and sent to a Nazi concentration camp, where she died.

To mark this upsetting anniversary, the Anne Frank Trust UK launched the #NotSilent campaign: “The idea is for people to spend one minute reading a passage from Anne’s diary and upload a video on social media – instead of having a minute’s silence.” You can find Anne Frank’s Diary Of A Young Girl (2010 edition) in C-226. And the Lennoxville Library also has Memories Of Anne Frank: Reflections Of A Childhood Friend (1997, filed in biography at 920.99).
